DoRoutes Driver privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
DoRoutes Driver is the app drivers use for firms that run their deliveries and removals with DoRoutes. RM-RF SOFTWARE LTD makes DoRoutes and the app.
Who is responsible for your information
The firm you drive for decides what the app is used for and is the controller of your information. RM-RF SOFTWARE LTD processes it on the firm's behalf, under its instructions. Your firm should also give you its own notice about location sharing; the app shows it to you before your first shift.
What the app collects
- Location, only while you are on shift. From the moment you start your shift until you end it, the app records your phone's precise location every 15 seconds and sends it every 30 seconds. A notification shows the whole time it is shared. Nothing is recorded outside a shift.
- Photos and signatures you take as proof of collection and delivery, and photos you add when you report an issue.
- Job steps and notes: when you arrive, load, deliver or report an issue, with the time of each.
- Your name and your firm, which come from pairing the phone with your firm's account.
The app does not use your contacts, microphone or files, and does not track you for advertising.
Why it is used
To show your firm where its vans are, to plan and re-plan the day's routes, to keep mileage records, and to keep proof that jobs were done.
Who can see it
Only your firm's staff who have permission. RM-RF SOFTWARE LTD uses Amazon Web Services to host and store the information in London (eu-west-2) and HERE for maps and routes. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used for analytics.
How long it is kept
- Location history: as long as your firm sets, from 1 to 24 months (3 months unless it changes it). Each van's daily mileage is kept with the firm's job records.
- Photos and signatures: as long as your firm sets (24 months unless it changes it).
Information is deleted automatically after that, and when your firm deletes it.
How it is protected
Everything is encrypted between the phone and our servers and stored encrypted. Photos and signatures are kept in private storage and shown to staff only through short-lived links.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use. Ask your firm first, as it decides how your information is used. You can also contact us at [email protected], and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab)).
Changes
We will update this page when the app's use of information changes, and show the date above.
